Move-In Service
No confused movers...No stacks of
boxes months on end...Get settled faster, be more productive and get on
with life...
Remember the last time you moved? Is your furniture still placed where the movers put it even though the
arrangements don’t quite work? Do your pictures look out of whack because you hung them on hooks left
by the previous homeowners? Are you still puzzled about how to make old pieces fit into
your new spaces? If stress-free moving sounds like an oxymoron to you,
read on… Although there may be many frustrations associated with a change of
residence, moving in doesn’t have to be one of them. Relax!
Let me tell you how
Jackie Davis saved my life!! Four years ago my daughter and here husband and my 3 grandchildren
decided they wanted to buy their own house. We had enlarged my house
and I loved it. I had lived there for over twenty years. Needless to
say, with rheumatoid arthritis I could no longer care for the house.
What was I to do??? I put the house on the market and it sold very
quickly. I found an apartment but it only had four rooms. What was I
going to do with all my stuff? Jackie came to my house and told me to show her all my favorite things.
We then went to the new apartment to see which of my favorite things I
could bring with me. She then actually made drawings of where each item
should go. When the movers arrived with the stuff I was able to just
tell them exactly where everything should go. I love it here and
everything looks wonderful. Jackie is the best and I love her to
pieces!!! Ann W. Wilmington, Massachusetts |
Perhaps you're upsizing, downsizing or merging households. You're an empty nester who needs to re-think the use of rooms or a new
nester who wants good looking but childproofed rooms (if anything can
be childproofed!). You're merging households. You have duplicates of everything. Now you
have to decide what goes, what stays and how to combine different
styles. Whatever your circumstances, your interior spaces need to function
according to your lifestyle needs. How does it work? I get to work before the movers lift the first piece of
furniture. On moving day there’s no running around figuring out where
furniture should be placed. We already know if old pieces will fit the
new spaces, if pieces will be used in different rooms than in the old
residence and what if any, furniture needs to be purchased. Rather than incurring the expense of moving furniture you cannot use,
you’ll know which pieces can be donated, sold or discarded. These
arrangements can be made prior to move day. Move-in Service Packages Platinum Package This package includes all the features of the Silver and Gold packages.
Whether it’s before or after you move into the new residence I work
with you to develop the color schemes, specify fabrics for furniture
and window treatments and specify flooring to complete the transition. Gold Package This package includes the features of the Silver package. After the
furniture is delivered I get you settled into your new home. I
may make slight adjustments to the furniture arrangement and then place
the artwork and accessories in relation to the furnishings. A resource
list gets you on your way. Silver Package A customized plan is developed for each room in your new home. The plan
shows how the furniture is to be arranged to complement the
architecture of your new home and your lifestyle.
Mom
Surprises Bride-to-Be: Redecorating Gift for Marital Bliss Gwen: "You've created the home I have always imagined.” Mama: "You've paved the way to marital bliss. I don't know how to thank
you.” Kevin: (After he gave me a great big bear hug!) "Thank-you, thank-you,
thank-you! I love my study. I love my home. I love my books...I love my
wife." Gwen W. South Hamilton , Massachusetts |
A house for one
became a home for two. Purge to merge. Gwen was getting married.
Her fiancé was coming to the US in a few weeks for
the wedding and then to live in her house. With her hectic
schedule Gwen had little time to think about how to get the house ready
to share with someone else. She needed to organize, paint, rearrange,
decorate...go to work, plan the wedding. Overload! Overload! She was
feeling frantic and didn't know where to start. In stepped Mama...her
wise and kind mom, who decided that of all the gifts she could give her
daughter, the gift of an interior redesign would be a special one. I created a plan that Gwen quickly and easily implemented. Then we
helped her sort and purge and rearrange. We created a special study for
him and a "room of her own" for her. We hung artwork and accessories
that held special meaning for both of them. In the end we created his
space, her space, and their space.
Jackie
to the Rescue for all Three of My Moves My efficiency apartment was dreary and felt like a college dorm room.
Jackie helped me select cheery paint colors and vibrant artwork for my
walls. In one day she transformed my space into a bright, warm,
sophisticated home. When I moved to a one-bedroom co-op I called upon
Jackie’s expertise once again. She didn’t disappoint. She arranged my
furniture, artwork, and accessories. Everyone who visited me fell in
love with the picturesque décor. Then in 2006 I bought a
spacious townhouse. I needed professional help in decorating such an
enormous space. It was “Jackie to the rescue”! With her keen sense of
style and décor, she turned my house into a comfortable, safe
place just as her Fihankra logo indicates. Jackie has been with me
through my new house journeys and is probably wondering if she’ll ever
be finished with me. The answer is a resounding, No! Princess W. Medford , New York |
