Loving Her Apartment
"I love my apartment. I wish you had redecorated it sooner!"

Colette A. San Francisco, California

No fear decorating. You'll get well thought out and designed plans whether you start from scratch or build on your current belongings. Your detailed blueprint will help you make confident buying and decorating decisions. I won't dictate the choices. They will reflect your personality, lifestyle and spirit. There's no fear of making a mistake.

Save time and money. You'll have "new" rooms in a matter of hours rather than months. You can use what you already own or purchase additional items. Either way, you'll have the knowledge and support you need to make informed selections quickly and affordably.

Lifestyle fit. You'll have rooms that support the way you live and how your household functions. Your rooms will make sense for your family and not an imaginary one. Because they'll be easy to maintain, living in them will be a pleasure.

No Stress decorating. You'll have a decorated home without enduring a long, stressful process. You won't worry about what to do or how to do it to create the rooms you want. I'll guide you through the process and make decorating easy and enjoyable.

Personalized interiors. You'll have a space uniquely yours and not a standardized showroom package. You may have items you never thought of displaying or treasures you've tucked away and forgotten. These are the things that distinguish your home. They'll be incorporated into your rooms along with your new selections to create a harmonious blend of the past and the present.

Values

My goal is to create rooms that touch your spirit, spark your imagination and make you smile. I value creativity, problem solving and seeing the possibilities to find solutions to your decorating dilemmas. My success is measured not only in the execution of my design, but by the positive feelings you get as a result of my work. I believe better design promotes better living.

My Approach

I study the situation and then act. I don't jump into a project blindly. I start with an initial interview to really "get into your head". Then I identify your decorating style and challenges to better understand your decorating needs. Next, you and I set priorities based on your goals, lifestyle, budget, and timeframe. I recommend the best course of action to achieve your goals. It may be a written decorating plan, a one-day room redesign or a more comprehensive interior decorating project.

I strive to be easy going and flexible. I work with you or independently depending upon the amount of input you'd like to have during a one-day interior redesign, interior decorating project or change of residence. Some people like to roll up their sleeves and get involved in the process. Others prefer to be surprised. Whatever your style, I am happy to work the way that makes you feel most comfortable.

I provide one-stop shopping. There's no need for you to search for the perfect pieces to complete your room or resources to help you get the job done. I save you time by doing the research and providing lists of vendors and professionals. You select the ones that fit best.

I provide on-going support. Whatever service you select, I am a resource for you. I am available to make adjustments, answer questions and help you stay on course. Whether I've worked on one room or your entire home or office, once you're a client, you're always a client. I am happy to work with you through all the stages of your life.

Impossible Project Realized Through Expertise
"How can I begin to thank you for the extraordinary work you put into transforming Gwen's house? Without your expert help and hard work it was an impossible project. But you gave Gwen and Kevin their dream house and paved the way for marital bliss!"

Mair W. South Hamilton, Massachusetts

My uniqueness

You will have a unique decorating experience. I'll bring to your home the same magic you see on television. You'll get the same attention, the same personal touch, and the same joy you see me bring to homeowners on television - without the distraction of all the lights, cameras, and action.

My experience. Creating a great room is not just about moving furniture or selecting colors. Given the right tools you can pretty much move anything or paint anything yourself. The art is in knowing where to place the furniture, how to edit collections, and how to select colors to enhance the room. What I do is part art and part science. I combine the principles and elements of design with proven space planning techniques. Then I use the power of my imagination to create rooms that are uniquely yours.

Warm Up the Room
"Wow!! That Concord Ivory does everything you said! It's lovely...For the first time in 30 years the room looks warm! The color in the fireplace stone also comes out!"

Sandra B. Stow, Massachusetts

Since starting this business in 1998, I've completed hundreds of rooms across the country. No job has been too big or too small - from modest one-bedroom city apartments to huge suburban properties. I've experienced all kinds of challenges and never let a room get the best of me!

My definition of beauty: Beauty is in more than how a room looks. It's reflected in how it feels as well. I focus on the look and feel of a space. I incorporate elements that appeal to all five senses - not just sight, but taste, touch, smell and hearing. Rooms come alive when you add interesting textures, pleasing scents, soothing sounds and things that make your mouth water. The space feels familiar and welcoming. I may use old things in new ways or suggest new furnishings you'd never expect to solve your decorating puzzles. I like to add a touch of whimsy because decorating doesn't have to be so serious!

Regular Room Becomes Great
"My new room is great. The arrangement, the color, and the space - it's all lovely.”

Lela K. Hillside, New Jersey

My attitude. Who can you expect to meet? You'll be disappointed if you're looking for Franck Eggelhoffer or Howard Weinstein, the wedding coordinators in "Father of the Bride" or Duarto Feliz, the interior decorator in "The First Wives Club". I don't swish my scarf over my shoulder, sweep my hand into the air and call myself Claude. But, I do have the most awesome dreadlocks and I'm developing a penchant for red shoes. Although you may see me on television and at seminars, or read about me in newspapers and magazines, I'm a down to earth person helping everyday people like you create extraordinary beauty and joy in your environments.
